What We Believe

At Elevate Church, our beliefs are rooted in Scripture, shaped by the historic Wesleyan tradition, and lived out in a spirit of grace, truth, and love. Everything we do flows from our desire to help people connect with God, grow in their faith, and live out the hope of Jesus in everyday life.

The Beliefs of the Wesleyan Church

As part of the Wesleyan church family, we're all about living out our faith in a way that's real, loving, and focused on Jesus. Our beliefs guide us in everything we do, and we'd love to share them with you.

God

We believe in one amazing God who shows up in three ways: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God created everything, knows everything, and loves us more than we can imagine. He wants a personal relationship with each of us.

The Bible

We live the Bible! It's God's Word to us - true, inspired, and full of wisdom for every part of life. It shows us God's incredible plan to bring us closer to Him.

The Church

Not just a building, but a family, called together by God to love, grow, and serve. It's where we worship, find community, and live out our faith side by side. The Church is God's design to bring hope to the world through His people.

Jesus Christ

Jesus is at the center of everything we believe. He's the Son of God who became one of us - fully human, fully divine. He lived a perfect life, died to take away our sins, rose from the dead, and is alive today. He's our Savior, our hope, and our King who will come back one day.

Salvation

God's grace is the greatest gift we could ever receive. Through faith in Jesus, we're forgiven, set free, and made new. Jesus paid the price for our sins so we can have a fresh start and eternal life with Him.

Baptism and the Lord's Supper

Baptism and Communion are special moments in our faith. Baptism is a public way to show we're following Jesus, and Communion is a way to remember and celebrate what Jesus did for us.

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is here to guide and empower us. The Spirit helps us recognize our need for God grow in our faith, and live a life that honors Him.

Holiness

We believe God calls us to live lives that reflect His love and goodness. Through the Holy Spirit, we can grow to be more like Jesus every day, loving God and others wholeheartedly.

Eternal Life

We believe this life is just the beginning. Because of Jesus, we have the hope of eternal life with God, For those who choose Him, it's a promise of joy and peace FOREVER!

Communion

Communion, also called the Lord’s Supper or Eucharist, is a time to remember Christ’s sacrifice and celebrate new life in Him. At Elevate Church, we typically observe Communion at the end of the service, using bread and grape juice served by our pastors and leaders. We offer both intinction (dipping the bread) and individual cups, depending on the service format. If you have a preference, let our team know—we’re happy to accommodate. Join us each week for this meaningful time of worship and reflection.

Baptism

Baptism is important because Jesus modeled it, and three of the four Gospels highlight His baptism. It’s an outward expression of an inward spiritual transformation. At Elevate Church, we hold baptisms once a month, and those interested can sign up by contacting the church office, speaking with a pastor or staff member, or registering online. While Elevate 101 isn’t required, we encourage it to help you understand our mission and how you can get involved.
